‘Country Roads’ eyes summer opening in Fairport Cannery development

FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — The village of Fairport is getting a new bar and restaurant: Country Roads.

The new spot is in the Cannery development on Parce Road, alongside other big names, like Preservation Brewing, Faircraft Brauhaus, Tincup Social, and Iron Smoke.

The country-themed bar and restaurant takes its cues from southern comfort and Nashville dives, complete with a massive bar.

As for the drinks, specialty margaritas, and even a margarita buffet — as well as bar classics — are on tap.

The menu will feature “elevated” plates, from ribs on a stick, to stuffed pretzels, and churros.

Oz, a local entrepreneur and bar manager, and officially the general manager and marketer of Country Roads, was on a country kick, when he was asked to bring some country decor and flavor to the village of Fairport.

“What you see here is stuff that was leftover that we repurposed,” he said. “We took the picnic tables and built our dining room tables. The walls and the bars… That’s repurposed pallet wood. We had some fantastic people come in and do for us.

“Fairport is an absolute jewel,” he continued. “Everybody here has been so kind, so welcoming.
Word gets out, and everyone is so friendly, people just talk to you, and I love that, that community sense, it’s so wholesome and so beautiful.”

They are targeting a mid-June opening.
