Fairport, Victor, Mercy, Penn Yan girls lacrosse punch tickets to state semifinals

Class A Far West Regionals

Fairport 12, Lancaster (VI) 7

The Red Raiders led wire-to-wire en route to another trip to the state final four. The defending Class A state champions held a 9-3 lead at halftime and never looked back.

Ella Peers led the way with four goals to go along with two assists. Katie Mallaber was right behind with three goals. Brenna Goss finished with two goals while Meghan Arserio, Reese Fuenfstueck, and Madison Van Gorder each had one score.

Fairport will square off against Massapequa (VIII) in the state semifinals. The game will take place on Friday, June 7th at 1pm at SUNY Cortland.

Class B Far West Regionals

Victor 22, Clarence (VI) 0

The two-time defending state champs put on a dominant showing as they pitched their first shutout of the season.

Morgan Livingston and Libby Boland both had a game-high four scores. Olivia McKinnon did her part with three goals while Devin Livingston and Julia Bruno tallied two a piece.

Victor take on West Islip (VI) in the state final four. The contest will take place on Friday, June 7th at 3pm at SUNY Cortland.

Class C Far West Regionals

Mercy 17, Lake Shore (VI) 8

The Monarchs booked their first trip to the state semifinals after a convincing win Saturday afternoon.

Sydney Cook had an impressive showing with four goals and four helpers. Lydia Malvaso also tallied four goals. Mia Quagrello and Krista Harnischfeger each had three scores. Maeve Shanahan, Mia Lusardi, and Emma Kravetz also found the back of the net for the Monarchs.

Mercy will take on Sayville (XI) in the state final four next weekend. The game will be held at SUNY Cortland on Friday, June 7th at 9am.

Class D Far West Regionals

Penn Yan 17, Gowanda (VI) 4

After earning their 10th sectional title last week, the Mustangs kept their foot on the gas dispatching Gowanda on Saturday.

Sophomore sensation Bailey Cooper put on a clinic with six goals and two assists. Taylor Mullins, Makenna Mullins, and Ruby Berry all notched two scores. Corinne Barden, Gianna Voigt, Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger, Lila Hansen, and Miley Anderson got into the box score with one goal.

Penn Yan will look to keep their season alive next Friday, June 7th against Cold Spring Harbor (VIII). The game will be played at 11am at SUNY Cortland.
