PENFIELD, N.Y. (WROC) — The Spencerport boys soccer team defeated Penfield 3-1 in the sectional semifinals last season.
On Wednesday night, the Patriots got their revenge.
Penfield scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat the Rangers 2-0.
After a scoreless first half, Jackson Kuby and Christian Bengry netted goals to give Penfield the win. Mason Vallow and Connor Walsh netted assists. Ryder Lucas kept a clean sheet for the Patriots.
The game was the season-opener for both teams. Penfield will welcome Fairport on Saturday while Spencerport will host on Gates Chili.
