ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A 17-year-old was arrested after a threat went out on social media threatening violence at Fairport High School, deputies announced.
Deputies were called to the school Tuesday to investigate after the anonymous threat was posted. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the threat “warned people to avoid coming to the building that day.” The threat was deemed not credible. The teen was arrested Wednesday morning.
The teen faces a felony charge of making a terroristic threat and was taken to the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center on a $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. No additional details pertaining to the teen accused, or the threat were released.
