The NYS Canal Corporation has announced that the navigation season for the Erie Canal will officially end at the close of the day on Wednesday, October 16th. However, the Town of Perinton is extending the use of the Ayrault Boat Launch, allowing boaters to enjoy the canal until the end of the day on Thursday Oct. 31st.
This extension provides an additional opportunity for residents and visitors to make the most of the beautiful fall weather and the scenic waterways before the seasonal closure.
